During this week we concentrated more on fixing problems, getting our poster ready, and getting ready for the presentation.
I worked with Tesseract in some more cases such as working with a tool in Stampede called ImageMagick.
This program is basically a tool like Photoshop.
It Changes size, color, scales, and changes the format of pictures.
For example Tesseract is not compatible with images with the format Tiff. so by using ImagMagick I was able to change the formats to a compatible format such as png, jpeg, or jpg.
Also I tested some pictures on grayscale to verify if Tesseract was going to be successful at reading the embedded characters.

I also tested the images in black and white, to test for the change in quality and change in color.
As you can see in the above picture, the change in color to black and white somehow affected the quality and added some noise. This seemed to make it impossible for Tesseract to read the text in the picture.
After finishing this tests cases I ran in in Stampede with the tool Launcher in order to make it work in parallel.
Also I continued to see if the CUDA support problem in Stampede was solved. Unfortunately it was not fixed, and I was not able to present this material on my poster.
